RIGHTS & CONTRACTS: Understanding the Legal Side of Publishing
Thanks to YOUR requests, we’re diving into the complex world of publishing contracts and rights! Join us for an intensive delving into many of the legal aspects of the publishing industry.
In this course, we’ll talk about the various types of publishing rights, including print, digital, and subsidiary rights. We’ll also discuss the nuances of contracts, including royalty structures, advances, and important clauses to watch out for.
While we’re not legal professionals by any means, and nothing in this class will be legal advice, we’ve navigated rights and contracts long enough to have a wealth to share from our own experiences. Our hope is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to protect your work and make informed decisions.
